What personal data we process
When creating an account (necessary to provide the Service):
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Age
- Company registration number, if applicable (for business customers)
When using the app and website:
- Profile picture (only if you choose to upload one from your device's photo library)
- Your progress and results in theory tests and exercises
- Technical information such as device type and IP address
With consent to marketing:
If you have consented to marketing, we process your name and email address in order to send you newsletters and offers by email. Your email address may also be used to target ads on Facebook, Google and similar services.
Purpose and legal basis
We process your data in order to create and manage your user account, deliver the learning content, save your progress and provide support (GDPR art. 6(1)(b) – performance of a contract). Marketing takes place solely on the basis of your consent (art. 6(1)(a)).
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email from us, or by contacting us at info@e-teoriprove.com.
Data security and data processors
We process all personal data securely and confidentially in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act. All data is transferred encrypted.
We use data processors to operate the Service and have entered into data processing agreements with them, which is our guarantee that they comply with applicable rules on the protection of your personal data.
Any transfer of personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA only takes place where a valid transfer basis exists, e.g. the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Access to your personal data
You have the right to be informed which personal data we process about you. Requests for access can be sent to info@e-teoriprove.com.
Rectification, restriction, data portability and erasure
You have the right to have incorrect data corrected, to receive your data in a commonly used format (data portability), to restrict processing, and to have your personal data erased. Requests are sent to info@e-teoriprove.com and are answered as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest.
Deleting your account
You can request full deletion of your user account and all associated personal data at any time:
- In the app: under Profile → Delete account, or
- By sending an email to info@e-teoriprove.com from the email address the account was created with.
On deletion, all your personal data is permanently removed, unless we are legally required to retain certain information (see section 8).
Retention period
We store your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes described above.
- User accounts are automatically deleted after 12 months of inactivity, including all associated personal data.
- Information that forms part of accounting records is kept for 5 years in accordance with the Danish Bookkeeping Act.
- If marketing consent is withdrawn, we keep documentation of your consent (name, email address and time of consent) for 2 years to meet documentation requirements under the Danish Marketing Practices Act.
